What is a Barcamp? Expect a no-frills, no-fluff gathering of creatives, thinkers, and probably a handful of geeks. There’s no predefined speaker lineup or schedule. Attendees can prepare a short presentation and sign up for a time slot on the event day. Talks last 10–15 minutes, followed by a brief Q&A. The best Barcamp talks are short, inspiring nuggets, preferably personal stories, far from slick corporate decks.Barcamps are informal events run by volunteers worldwide. They handle tasks like badges, setup, cleanup, and promo, making the event possible. The theme for the 2025 Antwerp edition, Looking Back and Forward, can serve as a source of inspiration to tie the talks together. Feel free to get nostalgic :)Example topics:

Over 20 attendees have already expressed their intention to present a story at this Antwerp edition. Barcamps are crowdsourced events where participation is flexible. Attendees can choose to present or contribute in other ways.

Schedule

  • 9:30 AM – Welcome & presenters claim their time slots

  • 10:00 AM – first presentation(s)

  • 10:00 AM – 12:45 AM: Various presentations with flexible breaks, depending on how many attendees wish to present. Basic Snacks and drinks will be provided.

  • 1:00 PM – Wrap-up & quick cleanup. Extra hands are welcome!
